Editorial Policy and Verification Methodology

How claims on this site are sourced, checked, ruled on and corrected.

Written by Tomas Brandt Medically reviewed by Dr. Renata Alvarez, PharmD, BCGP Updated 10 September 2026 How we review

Every claim on this site traces to one of three things: the product label, a source we can cite, or a page the seller put online. Where those sources disagree about what MemoHive even contains, we show all of them.

How we rule on a claim

  1. Read the label, not the headline. A product marketed for lungs is judged on what its ingredients can do at the amount provided, not on what the bottle is called.
  2. Check the printed amount against the research. Bacopa is studied at 300–450 mg; MemoHive provides 200 mg. We say so plainly, for every ingredient.
  3. Read the total by what it is made of. A 1,030 mg headline means little when 540 mg of it is a sports amino acid. We publish the split.
  4. Report undisclosed amounts as undisclosed. We never estimate a figure the label does not print.
  5. Compare every source that claims to describe the product. Where a seller's ingredient list and the brand's own list differ, both are published here.
  6. Separate ingredient research from product proof. A study of an ingredient is not a study of a finished multi-ingredient formula — a distinction MemoHive's own release makes, and we apply it consistently.
  7. Flag the safety edge cases. The warfarin, antidepressant and thyroid interactions get named, because a buyer cannot infer them from an ingredient list.
  8. Lead with the medical message. A product bought for memory gets the see-a-doctor line near the top, not buried at the bottom.
  9. Pharmacist review. Interaction and safety wording is checked by a board-certified pharmacotherapy specialist.
  10. Date it. Every page carries published and updated dates.

Why we never estimate an undisclosed amount

It would be easy to write “probably a 20% bacoside extract” and it would read authoritatively. It would also be invented. Where an amount is not published we print that it is not published, and reason from what can be checked — the blend total, the ingredient's known research range, the delivery route — instead of filling the gap with a guess.

Sourcing standards

We cite primary sources — government health agencies, peer-reviewed indexes and regulator guidance. We do not cite other affiliate pages, and we never treat a seller's claim as evidence for itself. The sources we rely on most:

On describing the pages that sell this product

Where we describe what a page publishes, we describe only what is verifiable on that page at the time of writing — the ingredients it lists, the amounts it discloses, the badges it shows, the guarantee it states and where its order links point. We draw no conclusion about anyone's intent.

Corrections

If a figure, price or policy statement here is wrong, tell us through the contact page and we will correct it and note the change. If you have a photograph of the actual Supplement Facts panel from a bottle you received, we would particularly like to see it — a panel showing per-ingredient amounts would improve this site more than anything else could.

What our reviews are not

They are not medical advice and not a substitute for seeing a doctor. They are not clinical trials of the finished product — no such trial exists, and we say so. And they are never a reason to delay assessment of a real change in memory, or to reduce any prescribed treatment.

Independence

We earn affiliate commission on qualifying purchases. No manufacturer reviews, approves or pays for our content. The critical findings published here — the two ingredient lists, the 52% BCAA split, the under-range doses, the missing standardisations — are findings a brand-controlled page would have deleted.
